THE REVIEW

It should have been the summer single of 2012, but characters like the Divine Otelma are inconvenient and thus must be kept away from the limelight.

Too bad because this extraordinary summer single (far superior to the 1980s hits by Righeira) would have deserved much better fortune: musically it presents itself as lively and danceable, catchy and genuine; giving it tone and meaning are the two friends Divine Otelma (a great one, to be respected for his moral integrity and his truths) and the surprise Rossano Rubicondi. The two met for the first time on the show "L'isola dei famosi" (masterfully hosted by Nicola Savino) and from there the idea for future collaboration was born.

Little remains to be said, except to read the text, pleasant and amusing, carefree and joyful, then try to listen to it (easily found on Youtube) and you won't be able to do without it. Shall we bet?

"It's the bay, Bay of the Sun.

(Otelma) How white this sand is even under the sea,

a salute to the sun and the Elohim to evoke,

swinging on the hammock I feel crazy,

maybe it's the batida... but the coconut one.

(Rossano) I enjoy the nightlife and go up and down,

sipping a margarita, you drink it too.

You you you, you you you, you you you in the sun,

it's the bay, Bay of the Sun.

(Rossano) Warm wind on the skin from the morning,

this is all very nice, but I'm missing a matriciana,

this music is divine and I threw myself on the dance floor,

but after so much dancing I got a headache.

(Otelma) I'll give you two or three little taps and it won't come back,

they are blessed rites you know it too.

You you you, you you you, you you you in the sun,

it's the bay, Bay of the Sun.

It's the bay, Bay of the Sun.

(Rossano) Come on, Div, get out of the sarcophagus, what are you doing?,

come and dance, ah Div.

(Otelma) I'm coming, I put on my Pharaoh's robe!

It's the bay, Bay of the Sun.
