The two years between "Lemming" and "The Last King" have been very creative for Ronin.
Two years filled with touring around Europe and composing the soundtrack for the film "Vogliamo anche le rose" by Alina Marazzi.
"With the guts of the last priest we will hang the last king"
"The Last King" is the soundtrack of a film that does not exist.
Or rather, it exists in the mind of Bruno Dorella, the mastermind behind Ronin (and many other beautiful projects born from his brilliant mind).
With its symphonic overtones, we are introduced to the first track of the album and the first protagonist, namely The Last King. Slow in its progression and breathtaking in its finale. The fleeting western atmospheres introduce us to the other protagonist and his condition: Flight of the Priest.
Middle-Eastern influences mixed with surf for the brilliant Meandro. Of the same nature is also Venga la guerra, clearly superior to the aforementioned one.
Three Miniatures is revisited from the eponymous debut, Death of the Priest, with its funereal progression, brings us closer to the end of the hypothetical film.
Death of the King is the (slow) finale and the closing credits. Final applause.
