Behind the name Ronin lies the figure of Bruno Dorella, musician (Bachi da pietra and Ronin today, Wolfango, Sick Dogs, and other projects in the past) and owner of the indie label "Bar la muerte" (Ovo, the same Ronin, and also the first two albums of Bugo). Ronin is an instrumental project with strong cinematic influences (the soundtracks of the master Morricone are one of the main sources of inspiration), folk and traditional music, thus creating a universal and not at all restricted musical language.

Lemming is the group's second effort after an EP and a self-titled album, it is rich in very high-quality atmospheres, with exemplary instrumental solutions imbued with different scents. The exotic flavor in L'etiope or the more picturesque Portland, the desolation of You need it, then it comes (a torn guitar arpeggio adorned with Dorella's voice sent in reverse for an incredible result), the musical obsessiveness in Mantra Infernale, the bitterness enclosed in I pescatori non sono tornati (guitar echoes and reverberations with a choir at the end, sublime). The song-form is limited in Il Galeone, an anarchic ballad written in 1697, sung by the American Amy Denio, an unusual and courageous choice because it is always curious to see foreigners attempting our language, especially in songs.

A perfect work, one of the few cases where one can be surprised by such talent. Those who have already appreciated Ronin's music will certainly not be disappointed by Lemming, those who have never heard anything yet should hurry up. It would be a huge pity to miss them.
