Jim Hall has a lazy and dense style.
He knows he doesn't need to resort to a fast scale to cover a temporary void of creativity. He uses pauses as a praise of waiting, and knows how to play with time, a fundamental quality for anyone. Ron "class speaks for itself" Carter is perhaps the best double bassist I have ever heard.
Guaranteed result (with the rhymes I'm a myth): memorable jam, a couple of original pieces, some standards, light final Autumn Leaves.
