Rodman Edward Serling (1924–1975) was an American screenwriter, playwright and television producer, best known as the creator and host of The Twilight Zone.

Creator and host of The Twilight Zone; recurring themes in his work include solitude and moral questions. Served in World War II as a paratrooper and was wounded in the Philippines.
