Gomorra by Roberto Saviano is a particularly interesting book, capable of catapulting you into the Neapolitan reality, a reality made up of oppression, moral and physical violence. Where the unparalleled kings are the god money and power.
A work that makes us reflect on the social issues present in Italy, paradoxically a camorra state and a non-state state, female bosses much more capable in the economic field of politics and much more adept in hierarchical management, female figures simultaneously queens and pawns of a game that may never end unless we awaken the awareness and intention in us to inform ourselves, unless projects on education in legality are proposed in schools.
Campania, a land of silence and connivance, where these terms are mistaken for solidarity, where patience becomes submission and violence, is the tragic picture of a world that is falling apart due to our negligence.

"Gomorrah is the modern-day 'I know', an instinctive, visceral 'I know' that is both accurate and documented concerning the evils afflicting Naples and all of Campania."
"Saviano has completed his hellish journey, has emerged dirty, smelly, sweaty, and shocked from it, but able to shout: 'damn bastards, I’m still alive!'"
