Roberto Benigni is a versatile artist, a man who knows how to evoke emotions every time he steps on a stage, and it matters little whether he does so acting, creating films, or, as in this case, singing.

An album dated 2002 that includes songs written by the national treasure Roberto, covers, and film themes.

An album that delivers emotions, a simple breath of air that, with skill and class, offers the listener 40 minutes of pure musical enjoyment.

The key song of the CD is the famous "Quanto t'ho amato", written by Piovani and sung by Benigni during the 2002 Sanremo Festival; needless to say, it was the only true and beautiful song heard at the Sanremo music event. The lyrics are beautiful: "... in love, words don't matter, music does"; Benigni sings the piece with a skill and sweet melancholy, akin to the singer-songwriters of Our Home.

"Via con me": a contian jewel that Roberto interprets to perfection; Paolo Conte in turn dedicates the song "Le Chic e le Charme" to the duo Benigni/Nicoletta Braschi, featured in the film "Tu mi Turbi"... what class jazz!!!!...

"Pantheon", "L'inno del corpo sciolto" and "Mi piace la moglie di Paolo Conte" are three hilarious Cabaret pieces where the showman Benigni offers abundant laughter and a musical sense that he has in everything he does. The other pieces are all instrumental, included as soundtracks in various Benigni films and masterfully directed by that great composer Nicola Piovani.

An immediate and refined album where the stature of a great Clown is perceived, flaunting a musical charisma in a field he usually does not explore, but I'm certain that: ".... the world would seem quite deserted without the voice and song of Roberto Benigni.."

Enjoy listening to this harmonious sound full of poetic dignity.
