Last year, Robert Rich accompanied his on-stage performances with the background projection of a graphic film by Daniel Colvin, entitled "Atlas Dei".

At the end of the tour, the Californian composer decided to assemble thirteen pieces and give them the necessary sonic uniformity to enable them to take the shape of a soundtrack. This resulted in the composition of new tracks and a revisitation of old tracks, specifically adapted and now coming to light as "Music From Atlas Dei" through Soundscape Productions.

The chosen musical path is that of ambient, but it is explored both in its more distinctly electronic/cosmic aspects and in ethno/new age/world music ones, creating a good compendium of sounds. This is under the consideration that they are used as imaginary paintings for moving frames, while they turn out to be a bit dull and overly mannered for traditional listening and for what are the usually extremely high standards of Robert Rich.
