Six skilled police investigators are invited to an apartment by a certain Lionel Twain, who throws them a stone on the fingerprints. And here comes the iconic line from Sellers: "One two three, leap." "Nice counting, dad," says the adopted son (mistreated by the same Wang 'Sellers'). It seemed over, no! The doorbell rings and a woman screams, or so it seems, but in reality, it's the macabre sound of the doorbell itself (inspiring generations of Dylan Dog for the sound of the bell). Now it's Perrier's turn to enter. Then Diamond runs out of fuel and hilariously sends his wife to get it with a canister.

It seemed over again, no, it's just the beginning. Wang notices that 'dog sticks tongue out of painting.' The room burns and another thousand antics that are downright hysterical. A hilarious movie it's killer! The countless hilarious gags include: the blind butler doing things with a sticky foot, the deaf maid Yetta turning into a robot just like the first mentioned. Well, what else to say? I don’t know, watch it, but not alone. Let's not forget that it's also a horror film... there's a knife in a back, a dead person on a table, poisons, intrigues, mysteries, and so on.

A masterpiece, a snapshot of English life, narrated with unmatched realism. A spine-chilling story. A beautiful film. The scene with a thousand masks that the killer removes, typical carnival masterpiece of Roger Moore (already Bond, after the departure of poor Connery), is legendary. All the best actors of the time are present: Peter Sellers, Peter Falk (iconic inspector also in 'Columbo'), Maggie Smith (great actress, who will confirm her success alongside the wizard Potter), Alec Guinness (already a bridge, in 'The Bridge on the River Kwai'), David Niven (perfect in the role of a gentleman with just a dollar), James Coco (fattened up by pounds for the role of the chubby cop), Elsa Lanchester, also excellent is the fake paralyzed actress who manages to stay immobile with her legs for the entire duration of the feature film.

Really excellent! A masterpiece of irony and thrills. Oh, I almost forgot, "Let’s listen to Cow on wall," Sellers hilariously says again. Great!

Technical details: Excellent costumes, Great lighting from the light designer, beautiful scenes from the set designer.
