Robert Frank (1924–2019) was a Swiss‑American photographer and filmmaker, best known for the photo book The Americans (1958) and for directing the documentary Cocksucker Blues (1972).

Born in Zurich in 1924 and died in 2019. Widely known for the 1958 book The Americans; worked as a photographer and made several documentary films including Pull My Daisy and Cocksucker Blues.

The available review praises Robert Frank's Cocksucker Blues as a raw, unvarnished documentary of the Rolling Stones' 1972 American tour. It highlights backstage excess, controversial footage and powerful concert sequences. The film was restricted in screenings and saw a US DVD release in 2003.
