Four tracks, two twelve-inch vinyls, 45 RPM, one track per side, about 30 minutes of dark, blood-weeping dub filth.

This is pure dub shit updated to the degrading twenty-first century, no abstraction or intellectualism, concrete forms of 'music for bodies,' just pure filthy dub.

Shackleton’s Fireworks is a powerful and haunting dubstep release consisting of four tracks across two vinyls. The album combines sparse tribal rhythms with massive basslines and reverb, evoking a dark and narcotic atmosphere. Remixes by T++ and Mordant Music contrast significantly with the originals, adding hard grooves and unstable, hallucinatory styles. This release is praised for its raw, bodily impact and continuation of bold dub experiments. Explore Shackleton’s fiery dubstep journey—listen now and dive into raw bass and tribal rhythms!

The review explores The Good, The Bad & The Queen’s B-sides collection as an atmospheric and melancholic exploration of English life and history. The band’s skilled musicianship is praised alongside their evocative imagery and fusion of folk and dub roots. While the B-sides offer some strong tracks, the compilation suffers from poor flow and unevenness. The album evokes a nostalgic and poetic vision of England from WWII to post-Brexit times. Overall, the collection is decent but not essential. Discover the evocative world of The Good, The Bad & The Queen – listen to their rare B-sides and experience the soul of England.

An eccentric and offbeat version of The Cure’s quintessence.

It’s more admirable to have had the courage to surpass the compact and densely guitar-driven Wish rather than the frantic attempt to align with contemporaneity.

The cover of Think Tank... depicts two people... in the act of embracing... an embrace that is thought to be a prelude to a kiss that will never happen.

Think Tank is a world of sounds where Blur reinvent themselves and put into practice their ability to alienate themselves from the world and transform this floating situation.

Blur's Think Tank is a deeply introspective and creatively experimental album marked by a thematic exploration of human connection and relationship barriers. The Banksy-designed cover art symbolizes this emotional distance, echoing the album's sonic journey from Britpop roots towards diverse, ethnic, and electronic sound layers. Despite some disorientation, the album showcases Blur’s growth and willingness to reinvent themselves. It stands as a hopeful yet complex statement about relationships and artistic evolution. Dive into Blur's Think Tank to explore a unique blend of sounds and emotions reshaping the Britpop era—listen now and experience their bold reinvention.

Few albums have seemed to me from the first listen to be so consistent with the artist’s time and the geographical context in which he has always moved.

At the end of the listening, the sensation is that of having spoken with a dear friend, sensitive and inspired.

I like to think that Long Season relaxes like a cooldown after a long run, with an apparent calm masking a great sense of urgency.

Shinji Sato's vocal delivery carries a mix of despair and kindness, enriching the album's emotional depth.  Sherwood is the guy who organizes and orchestrates the jams, reworks them, and abstracts them; he isolates the components and interrogates them one by one, bending them to his will through the mixer.

It is the most obvious answer, and the closest to the truth, to what can us white people give to this music? An updated discontent, a new sense of rudimentality, but with fashionable polish for the parties of the new decade.

This review highlights how The New Age Steppers, a collective including members from The Slits and The Pop Group, created a unique punk-dub fusion under Adrian Sherwood's guidance. Produced in London circa 1980, the album is celebrated for its activism-inspired sound and innovative mixing. Vocal performances from Ari Up and Mark Stewart add distinctive layers reflecting anti-capitalist and urban guerrilla themes.  There is something about the nineties productions that has always fascinated me, namely, the search for a primordial and -why not- primitive beat.

Darrin O'Brien does not present anything watered down - on the contrary - the lyrics of this first album of his deal with rather delicate subjects (albeit in a dancehall sauce).

Snow's debut album '12 Inches of Snow' stands out for its authentic 90s reggae and hip-hop fusion. Despite mainstream skepticism, Snow delivers powerful lyrics rooted in personal and socially delicate themes. The review praises Snow's unique position as a white Canadian artist embracing reggae culture authentically. Dive into Snow's '12 Inches of Snow' and experience the bold 90s reggae-hip-hop fusion that redefined a genre.

"Exemplary in this sense is 'Soliloquy for Michael Brown', a restless sax angrily shouting over a base of congas."

"Music as good for the mind as it is invigorating for the body."

The 2018 album 'An Angel Fell' by Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids stands out as a powerful and politically charged jazz record. It blends traditional African sounds with jazz influences, including echoes of Sun Ra. The music is both thought-provoking and physically energizing, with standout tracks like 'Tinoge' and the tribute to Michael Brown showcasing deep emotion and complex musicianship. Discover the vibrant fusion of jazz and African rhythms in 'An Angel Fell' – listen now and feel the music's powerful message.

The moral of the album is simple only in words, but not in deeds: death has never immediately made sense to our eyes, and to endure the death of another requires love and to endure one’s own pain requires faith.

Personally, I consider it one of the best albums I have ever purchased and listened to, for the way in which the lyrics, sounds, and melodies seem to reproduce what I live inside.

Matisyahu’s Akeda is a deeply personal concept album exploring themes of faith, inner struggle, and transformation.  Good music comes from who are relaxed, I truly believe that and you can’t get more relaxed than this.

A lot of respect for a band that spent years of concerts before recording, cutting and sewing music to bang it on the pavement, stealing it to give to the poor.

"Enforcement," a floating monolith emitting radioactive surges, looms for nearly fifteen minutes immobile, amidst suffocating beats, nervous breakdowns, and sounds sharp as blades.
