A tip, do not listen to this album in the car, you would be at risk. You wouldn't even be able to keep your legs and arms still inside your car; you'd look like an idiot to other road users.
Turn The Radio Off is an incredibly fun album where ska and upbeat rhythms mix with the speed of punk. Perfect guitar solos blend with a torrential bass and a flood of trumpets and trombones. Tracks like "Sell Out," "Trendy," "Beer," and "Alternative Baby" are loved from the first listen. The entire album flows by without even thinking of skipping a track, even after numerous listens.
In the following years, other Reel Big Fish albums have come out, but none in my opinion have ever reached the value of this authentic masterpiece. The lyrics are hilarious, surreal, and badass, but overall this is a very serious album played superbly by technically very skilled musicians. In short, they may not have won dozens of platinum records, but RBF are great at revisiting ska by speeding it up, and damn, they'll make you dance and sing at the top of your lungs once you know all the tracks by heart.
