Red (stylized RED) is an American rock band known for combining orchestral elements and electronic textures with hard rock; their early work is associated with the Christian rock scene.

Formed in the early 2000s (active from 2002). Core members in early lineup included Michael Barnes (vocals), Anthony Armstrong (guitar), Randy Armstrong (bass), Jasen Rauch (guitar) and Hayden Lamb (drums). Hayden Lamb was later replaced by Joe Rickard (mentioned in reviews). Producer Rob Graves produced several early records. The band released the albums End Of Silence (2006), Innocence & Instinct (2010) and Until We Have Faces (2011) (as discussed in the provided reviews).

Three DeBaser reviews by Niglas assess Red's first three albums. Reviews note growth in production and heaviness, praise orchestral/electronic integration, and criticise recurring pop-ballad tendencies. Overall reception is mixed but leans positive for songs like "Fight Inside" and "Feed The Machine".

For:Fans of alternative/hard rock and Christian rock; listeners of Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Deftones and Linkin Park.

Innocence & Instinct succeeds where End Of Silence had failed: the Pop vein is still present (Start Again, Never Be The Same, Mystery Of You) but it's not as excessive as in the previous work.
