THE REVIEW

Well, the album I am about to review holds great significance for me, so if the review seems biased, I apologize.

The album is one of the most beautiful by the Ramones, released around '79, but it was overshadowed by its (magnificent) predecessors,'Ramones' and 'Rocket to Russia,' two very important albums for the history of rock. The album starts with Do You Remember Rock n' Roll Radio?, a delightful song that flows wonderfully and is followed by 2 quieter songs: Danny Says and Danny Says. These are songs with a splendid, calm melody that precedes the energy unleashed by Chinese Rock.

The Return of Jackie and Judy is perhaps the best of the album, along with Rock n' Roll Radio, and if the overly saccharine Baaaaaaby I Loooove You risks being boring, it immediately picks up again with Let's Go. The album consists of 12 songs, and if you get the expanded edition (like I did), you'll find more content, but what matters about this record is that the Ramones have created many MASTERPIECES, like this one.

Ramones

Ramones were an American punk rock band formed in Queens, New York, in 1974 by Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, and Tommy Ramone. They helped define punk’s sound and look with ultra-fast songs, downstrokes, and leather-jacket iconography. After relentless touring and 14 studio albums, they disbanded in 1996 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.

It breaks my heart to see that this great album has been treated with such superficiality.

End of Century is a jewel in the Ramones' discography that flows fast and genuine.
