For those who don't know him, Rafael Toral is a Portuguese guitarist fascinated by the sound of airplanes, a researcher of "alternative" sound sources who, until a few years ago, was looking for a bridge to record (this is just to give you an idea of the character).
In this album, he captures his romantic and minimalist spirit, as usual, with a distinct taste and an exquisite choice of sounds. Fresh air and deserted landscapes, sound pills of enjoyable relaxation, a sense of peace in a futuristic panorama. A quite balanced work among all his releases, the roars of his guitar present in "Chasing Sonic Booms" are far away here, and ambient gently makes its way, without disturbing, but with its overwhelming strength. Paradise is near, just close your eyes and let yourself be carried away.
For those who might love more radical works, "Aeriola Frequency" is highly recommended, extremely minimalist, almost on par with "Four Full Flutes" by Phill Niblock.
