So, first of all, you look at how this collection of b-sides is presented, with the cover being the inverse of the "OK Computer" cover. And then you think "this album rocks hard."
And indeed, the content fully lives up to expectations!!!
There are 2 CDs of b-sides. The first one, composed of 18 songs, includes the entire "My Iron Lung" EP plus other songs of the same genre, among which I highlight the beautiful "Yes I Am" and "Inside My Head." Then there are alternative versions of "Thinking About You," "Planet Telex," and "My Iron Lung."
The second one, composed of 17 songs, leans more towards the acoustic side: in fact, it contains versions of "Street Spirit," "Killer Cars," and "Blow Out," but also references to psychedelia with "Polyethylene Part 1&2" and "How I Made My Millions." There are also two covers: one of the famous Pink Floyd song "Wish You Were Here," the other a parody of Oasis' "Wonderwall," in which Tom imitates Liam's voice.
After a careful listen, I can say that this collection fully expresses the sound of Radiohead, at least the one I associate with them.
Within this CD, you find the true sound of the English group, in my opinion, when they were not yet influenced at all by computers.
At the end of the two CDs, you feel as if you have eaten a delicious piece of cake, and you can’t wait for seconds.
