Queen + Paul Rodgers

Musical Group

Collaboration formed by Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor with singer Paul Rodgers. Active in the mid-2000s, they released the live album Return of the Champions (2005) and the studio album The Cosmos Rocks (2008). Bassist John Deacon did not participate.

Members included Brian May, Roger Taylor and Paul Rodgers. The collaboration toured and released both a live album (Return of the Champions) and a studio album (The Cosmos Rocks). John Deacon retired from public performance and did not join the project.

DeBaser reviews show a clearly mixed reception: musicianship and live performances are praised, while the 2008 studio album The Cosmos Rocks is often judged uneven. Critics note self-referential moments and the obvious absence of Freddie Mercury. Some reviewers highlight specific strong tracks (e.g. Warboys, We Believe) and commend Paul Rodgers' voice.
