It happens. These guys want you to say "non ci ho capito un cazzo" on the first listen and then again on the second, third, etc. On these pages, there's already a review of the debut of these shady characters (with accompanying debasio-style rants about things that don't make any sense which I haven't even read because pfffff) and already there it says that these Pyramids are a bunch of nutcases. It's unclear if they're making fun of you or if they're actually brilliant, like maybe you listen to the record and say "why didn’t I think of that?", "Oh, right, I’m sane" (really?). It seems that everything and more is crammed into that record, with no logical thread, with revelry and shizz...atonery. But I haven't heard the debut. I've heard this, though.
And yes, it’s hard to understand (maybe).
But it’s hard to understand mostly for the non-musical aspect because the cover is one of the ugliest ever seen. Oh Jesus... but why did Profound Lore release something like that? Do you mean to say the band members wanted it?
Fuzz...fuzz..fuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Very fuzzy. The album is very fuzzy. These Pyramids want to toss you around hard, they do something that in the end isn’t strange, but they make you feel it in a washing machine. And not a washing machine in a regular laundromat, but a washing machine placed in the middle of nowhere in a place that's freezing cold. It’s unclear if there's someone groaning under the very whiny but also clear singing, is it you losing your mind perhaps? Drum machine.
You could talk about something like Blackened Dream Pop or not, in the end, Dream Pop really doesn’t have much to do with this. Anyway, very fuzzy. Not bad, but unfortunately also quite monotonous.
