Purtenance

Purtenance is a Finnish death metal band from Nokia, formed as Purtenance Avulsion; their 1992 debut Member of Immortal Damnation is regarded as a classic of Finnish death metal.

Formed in Nokia (originally as Purtenance Avulsion). Debut album Member of Immortal Damnation released in 1992. Early EP Crown Waits The Immortal preceded the debut. The band disbanded after the first album and reunited about ten years later. Noted for an atmospheric, doom-tinged Finnish death metal sound.
