LA RECENSIONE

This is my second review ever, the first was about Purple Disco Machine and this one is still about him. On March 31st, the new single "Substitution" featuring vocalist Kungs, another new "king" of Nu-Disco80, was released.

However, I was honestly disappointed. As an Eighties enthusiast, I expected more on a musical level. The single and the extended version sound like 1984, but it is too commercial and slightly banal compared to his past hits.

The use of the sample from BIG IN JAPAN by Alphaville immediately gets stuck in your head; the song is super catchy, but it's a bit of an earworm.

The video isn't bad; there are 2 of them, set in 1984. Let's see if the future LP of PDM offers some more club-worthy singles.
