THE REVIEW

Is it possible that all musical offerings from Chicago are interesting? It is possible.

The Pulseprogramming - Joel Kriske and Marc Hellner - in truth, are no longer a new proposal. They've been around for a few years, and they aren’t just interesting. They are unmissable for those who are captivated by the landscapes depicted by Boards of Canada, the bucolic yet rarefied melodies of Mùm, the refined style of Tarwater.
Their music is entirely electronic yet incredibly "human", and it works from the first listen, with "Blooms Eventually" utilizing the sweetness of Lindsay Anderson (singer of L'altra, a Chicago group) to achieve a sense of graceful intimacy.

Hellner's voice is also excellent, soft and heartfelt in the stunning "Off To Do Showery Snapshots".

We will remember this light and seductive beat, carried forward almost with shyness, to reach our shyness, right into our room, where the sound of Tulsa spreads occupying every cubic inch, and becomes perfect.
And the cover transforms into a little house.
