It has not yet been released as a physical single, but within a few hours, "Gentlemen" by Psy, the Korean singer still on top with "Gangnam Style," is doing what he surely hoped: a follow-up hit. Whether spoken well or ill of, whether liked or not, Psy's new single (which, as often happens, resembles the first record) was highly anticipated, and he himself admitted it was difficult to create a sequel, but in part, I believe he succeeded.
"Gentlemen" is less easy to imitate and sing than the previous one and has a greater instrumental part. A mix of pop, disco, and electro that will surely become the summer hit of 2013, and that "i am a gentlemen" will become another anthem of this new, original, and innovative artist.
Obviously, the entire song is sung in Korean except for the chorus, which gets stuck in your head and won't leave. Who knows how the video will be and if we will have to review that too, and who knows if the author of "Gentlemen" is ready with an album and maybe a tour in Italy.
Surely we will thank Psy for making us dance and have fun once again.
