A cover with a modern graphic design, featuring a geometric face in grayscale, emerging above a red background. Mystery and fire, this is the essence of the rock of Proclama, a band from Piedmont tirelessly fighting in this second decade of the century to assert the value of a sound that aims to be piercing poetry and forgotten wisdom. The Proclama are not the last to jump on the bandwagon of Italian rock aspiring to glory, but they are certainly among those who do it best. At first listen, everything appears blurred, then the image, the sound, the style comes into focus, revealing the group's compact and energetic style. After all, how many others today could have written a song like “Instabile,” or the melodic alternation of “Il giorno del giudizio”? Not to mention the track that titles this album, the group’s second, which also boasts an EP in six years of history. Courage is not lacking for Giorgio Giardina, the band's sole writer: how many others would have considered proposing “Essenziale,” brought to success by Marco Mengoni and reinterpreted here to the point of shedding its pop attire in favor of a bright and dark rock? Among the notes written by Giorgio, a phrase emerges that perhaps gives the definitive idea of his project: “As a kid, I dreamed of being the protagonist of an adventurous film with a grand finale. Over time, I realized that the grand finale is just a moment.” Chapeau.
