The debut of the Italian band that makes "music in English" and "English music".
The cover? A dream of the singer: three walls seen in section, each larger than the other, with three doors each about to be crossed by a gigantic bullet.
From the album, one can highlight the lack of skill in the recording studio techniques (the songs were recorded on a single track support), and it also highlights the fact that the band still has to take a precise musical direction. There are even references to Muse and Blur here!
Sometimes long, bacchanalian, and arrogant songs. The group was just over teenage, the singer was slightly out of tune, and many things were poorly defined. A lot of improvisation driven by that creative vein that would later be defined with other albums.
Already six months later, there was the innovation of recording IF on a multi-track support and even using electronics. Even the drums were overly invasive, entering off-beat and always where they shouldn’t. Keyboards used to the point of exhaustion, with all the possible effects.
In short, it would be worth 1 if it weren't for those few good episodes (where the future Principles will also be built), I'm talking about "Dream Again", "Everything Is Go Out", "Solitude Syndrome" and "Under the Clouds". A product to get only if you want to listen to a young band under construction!
