THE REVIEW

This debut album by Primaluce is really very interesting. It is a EP of 5 tracks of auteur rock that, in my opinion, is worth listening to.

The opener "Il giorno che vivrei" is a striking track balancing between The Killers and U2, while the central tracks of the album have much more atmosphere thanks to the skillful use of strings and acoustic instruments. The title track "Nives" is reminiscent of the Kings of Convenience in an orchestral key, the end of the piece is heart-stopping. The last track, "Il Re", is definitely prog-oriented, and it strongly recalls the style of PFM in their latest albums.

Good alternating use of the two vocalists (in Kings of Convenience style), very refined lyrics and sophisticated melodies but at the same time radio-friendly.

One of the most interesting albums of the new Italian music.
