Load "review", 8,1
Taken by the despair from some recent listens that were truly uninspiring (enough with the rrreeeemmmmm), I started searching for something unusual online and discovered a world made entirely of 8-bit.
The PPOT (genius CD covers with the ZZap logo) are a band from Copenhagen made up of six young guys who, instead of picking up guitars and banging on drums, chose to dedicate their music to sequencers, synthesizers, keyboards, and the legendary SID (Sound Interface Device chip - MOS 6581), the sound chip of the Commodore 64. The sextet offers a modern retro reinterpretation with rocking rearrangements of the soundtracks of the most famous video games for Commodore's 8-bit home system from the 80s: Ghost and Goblins, Commando, Paper Boy, Cannon Fodder ("waaaar, never been so much fuuuun, wawawawawar", simply brilliant), Last Ninja, Arkanoid and so on. Musically, these are eclectic electronic tracks with rhythms ranging from almost heavy metal to more relaxed reinterpretations ("Aztec Challenge") to skapunk digressions ("Desecrator - Space Tank").
Of course, these aren't albums that will make history, but for those like me who occasionally get caught up in nostalgia, they are a true little treasure.

P.S.: in the review, I made a (deliberate) glaring mistake... who noticed? plus a beautiful no-prize.
