Austin Richard Post, a.k.a. Post Malone is a guy just 25 years old. In these 25 years of life, Post Malone has collaborated with numerous significant figures in the Hip-Hop world (Kanye, Travis Scott, Quavo), released three albums that have shattered sales records of people like Eminem and Michael Jackson, produced for various artists (Ozzy Osbourne primarily), and filled stadiums worldwide.

And the way I see life, you can have all the recommendations in the world and play the most commercial music genre there is, but you don't achieve all this if you don't have at least a pinch of pure talent and love for your work.

Stoney is the first album released by Malone after a few singles on Soundcloud that catapulted him straight under the protective wing of high-level producers and artists who requested the collab. of this extravagant white guy, perpetually high and with the physique of a beer bottle thrower. However, Stoney is a really well-made album. The beats are always different, very well-crafted and rich with influences, from the country of Broken Whiskey Glass to the new soul of I Fall Apart, and melancholy reigns supreme. In the face of seemingly banal and "I'm rich, I screw and kill" aimed lyrics typical of Trap, the feeling of emptiness, loneliness, and discomfort experienced by good Austin finds a good outlet among the notes of the album.

Talking about Trap is quite reductive, and as far as I'm concerned, it’s been precisely the various influences of good Post (he has the faces of his musical idols tattooed on his hands...From Elvis to Dimebag Darrell, from Kurt Cobain to John Lennon) that allowed him to offer something different from what we're usually used to listening to in the mainstream music scene. Listen to Stoney, freeing yourself of (any) prejudices you have about this music genre, and maybe good Stoney (the nickname Malone has given himself for always being "fucking high") will positively surprise you. And I must be honest...it worked for me.
