Finally, after spending so much time delving into my musical research, after coming across music that made me feel various pangs in my heart testing my sensitivity, after getting lost in the labyrinths of ambient (drone and otherwise), passing through storms of avant-garde noises, I crashed into feedback that introduced me to The Man of Porn, and it's stoner folks, tough enough to make me want to tell you about it. And I feel at home; in a moment of confusion, there's nothing better than the affection of beloved stoner groups.

Behind this bizarre and refined name hides a really not bad project for a noteworthy line-up featuring the names of Tim Moss (leader on vocals and guitar), Dale Crover on drums (yes, him, the one from the Melvins) and Billy Anderson on bass, piano, organ, and backing vocals. The latter is better known as a producer and his resume serves as a guarantee, having produced fundamental records like "Sleep's Holy Mountain," a true rough diamond of the genre in question, and "Through Silver in Blood" by Neurosis, and also having worked with Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, Brutal Truth, Swans, Buzzo*ven, The Unsane, Damad, Asunder, RDP, and many more...

The album kicks off with a bang, a reinterpretation of the Floydian masterpiece "One of These Days," where exquisite psychedelia meets the typical rudimentary stoner sound, all at faster tempos. In the middle a cocktail of good tracks with a powerful impact ("Capp Street" and "Outta Site"), feedback experiments that describing them would be like talking about the consistency of a fart, and three different versions of the Motorhead cover "I'll Be Your Sister," simply renamed Sister, Sister (Valium Mix) and Sister (Nod Mix). The latter is the five-minute repetition of the song's hefty and massive leading riff which, together with the concluding track "Loop," causes that stunning effect that I love so much, a sort of stamp with STONED written bold and confidently on the forehead.

I wish everyone a carefree daze! (don't worry, I'm always of the opinion that a stoner album should be accompanied by some nice "trombolone," and given the excitement caused by "Experiments in Feedback," the pairing with SS fits perfectly!)
