THE REVIEW

If you want to listen to an album of pure, innocent fun and great energetic melodies, don't hesitate to get the first and only, I believe, album by the Pop Tarts "Woman Is The Fuehrer Of The World," released by the German BUNGALOW in 1998.

The German group composed of three young women and a young man have created, perhaps unknowingly, a POP-GARAGE gem. Surely they've listened to some pop punk records, let's say BUZZCOCKS and the like, and they've slightly modified the recipe with new ingredients like keyboards, various sound effects, and an innocent and insane melodic taste that only beginner bands have and lay out without the slightest sense of modesty. The album lasts just half an hour; it couldn't be otherwise. There's not a moment of boredom, melodies of childlike simplicity that bring joy.

A second album would never have conveyed the vitality of these songs, better that they stopped, at least I think. WHO KNOWS!!!!! I will promptly be proven wrong. Nothing better as a soundtrack for a carefree spring.
