THE REVIEW

The American band PLASTICLAND have always been an atypical figure in the psychedelic garage scene of the era. They are psychedelia; just look at them on the cover, what else could they do? After two albums, in 1987 they released their masterpiece "SALON".

A true acid manifesto starting with "GO A GO-GO TIME," a track with strong Motown influences. Not to mention "A QUICK COMMENTARY ON WAX MUSEUM," a delirious track, a real nightmare with an almost unbearable ending. But the entire album is wrapped in an American horror B-movie atmosphere.

Perhaps not easily assimilable but a step above similar productions of the period, maybe certain early works of PLAN 9, before they lost their way.

Absolutely worth listening to. Bye
