The Profile

Pissed Jeans are an American noise rock/hardcore punk band from Allentown, Pennsylvania, formed in 2004. Early releases appeared on Parts Unknown (Shallow), followed by Sub Pop albums including Hope for Men, King of Jeans, Honeys, Why Love Now, and Half Divorced.

Lineup has included Matt Korvette (vocals), Bradley Fry (guitar), Randy Huth (bass), and Sean McGuinness (drums). Signed to Sub Pop since 2007.

Three DeBaser reviews celebrate Pissed Jeans’ blistering noise rock, steeped in Sub Pop grit and Jesus Lizard/Melvins/Flipper lineage. Shallow, Hope for Men, and King of Jeans get praised for monolithic riffs, caustic vocals, and zero-pop tolerance. Songs like People Person and I've Still Got You (Ice Cream) are singled out. Overall verdict: ferocious, derivative-in-a-good-way, and thrilling.
