Piranha was a California thrash project led by vocalist Paul Baloff, active from the late 1980s until a final breakup in 1993. The group released at least one two-track demo (Big Fucking Teeth) featuring the songs "Nursery Rhyme" and "Alone We'll Survive" and included musicians credited in the review as Paul Baloff (vocals), Al Voltage (guitar), Ron Shipes (guitar), Eric Wong (bass) and Fred Cotton (drums). The review notes James Hetfield's participation as producer on the first demo.

From the review: unstable lineup, limited recorded output (two demos, four songs), Tom Hunting is mentioned as having been involved or passing through the project, and there was a reconciliation with Exodus around the time of the band's 1993 breakup.

DeBaser hosts one review of Piranha that frames the project as a promising but short-lived thrash outfit led by Paul Baloff. The review praises the demo material while criticizing instability and incomplete output. Key recorded item: the two-track demo 'Big Fucking Teeth.'
