Formed around 1980 in Cheltenham, England, Pigbag released the instrumental single "Papa's Got a Brand New Pigbag" in 1981 which became a major hit. Their album Dr. Heckle And Mr. Jive followed in 1982. The band toured internationally, had later success in Japan, released further albums and eventually disbanded.
