THE REVIEW

Musica X, the X factor of the Perturbazione is to slightly expand their audience and fame.

The confirmation is also their participation in the latest San Remo festival.

The first two tracks are, in fact, the ones presented at the Italian Music festival, "Unica" has all the makings of a real single, catchy chorus, theme of love, and after the first listen, you find yourself humming it already. While "l'Italia vista dal bar" honestly is the usual song about us Italians, always complaining but without lifting a finger to change things, politicians who have no idea what to do, soccer, bar chatter, etc... in short, a somewhat "banal" song (if you allow me the term).

After these first two songs (added to the album after the Sanremo participation), the real album begins, with "chiticapisce" immediately returning to full Perturbazione style,

melancholic, somewhat adolescent, as also in "diverso dal resto"; a true anthem to music in all its many forms is instead the title track, even if the subject may seem worn-out, it results in a very good track with electronic twists.

"Mia figlia infinita" is my favorite song on the album, it is a letter that a caring father writes for his daughter, the sweetness of this piece is disarming; in the following "i baci vietati" (a very fitting duet with Luca Carboni), it talks again about generations, in this case, the difficulty of talking to one's parents about "controversial" and uncomfortable topics, the doubt is: are you happy not to talk about it to avoid embarrassing situations, or do you settle for not doing it?

The obsession, however, is the main theme of "ossexione" and "questa è Sparta," the first obsession is sex, while the second is the obsession with appearance, hence the superficiality

that derives from it, but also the hypocrisy of those who say that appearance does not matter: "They claim beauty has no value, only that if it's missing, we bleed and die".

In conclusion, it is a good album, nothing more, in my opinion, a little far from albums like "Pianissimo fortissimo" and "Canzoni allo specchio", the Perturbazione with this album tried to reach a wider audience (deserving it), while still remaining themselves without making too many compromises.

Summary by Bot

Perturbazione’s album Musica X aims to broaden their audience, highlighted by their Sanremo festival songs. While some tracks like “Unica” stand out with catchy hooks, others are more traditional and less impactful. The album balances melancholic and adolescent tones with themes of love, generational conflict, and obsessions. Despite some minor weaknesses, the band stays true to their style while seeking greater accessibility.
