Carlo Peroni (pen name Perogatt) was an Italian cartoonist known for creations such as Gianconiglio and the SLURP! insert/publication. He worked in Italian children's comics and illustration.

Review notes SLURP! began as an insert in a Domus publishing youth magazine, was hand-drawn by Perogatt, featured surreal/oblique humor for kids, and included a main character (the green-tongued babacio). The reviewer links Perogatt to Gianconiglio (Corriere dei Piccoli) and an inspector strip in Il Giornalino; Perogatt's name in the review is given as Carlo Peroni.

Miss Kinotto's review remembers SLURP! as a hand-drawn, surreal children’s insert by Perogatt. The piece is nostalgic, noting loose, whimsical art and inventive humor. The reviewer regards the work as unrateable but fondly influential.

For:Fans of vintage Italian comics, readers of whimsical children's cartoons and surreal humor.

SLURP! was entirely the brainchild of Perogatt (Carlo Peroni), the cartoonist with whom those from my generation certainly had some dealings (The Gianconiglio of Corriere dei Piccoli, or more recently, but not too much, the eponymous inspector appearing in "il giornalino" pages, Parmalat advertisements, etc.).
