I love Pere Ubu! I think everyone should love Pere Ubu as much as I do! Also because they love everyone, without distinction; yes even you, especially you! And then there's a bit of Pere Ubu in each of us, you know? You know that little crazy voice in your head that gives you strange ideas, and at your age, when you should finally have settled down, you still use shopping carts as skateboards? Well, that’s them! Now you know who to thank (or who to blame if you’re a boring, sanctimonious bourgeois prig). And they make really great music, you know, I don’t know if you’re aware of masterpieces like modern dance which, besides being a super-mega acoustic orgasm, has also established itself as one of the milestones of new wave and all rock; but to tell the truth (and I'm convinced it’s a widely shared opinion) you should listen to everything up to The Art of Walking under penalty of being shot (including the collection "Terminal Tower" which contains their beginnings when their formula was even rawer and linked to garage; in fact, they define themselves as avant-garage; did you know?).

But unfortunately, I've noticed that there are still many people who don’t like Pere Ubu; because they say their music is too noisy and difficult; so Pere Ubu, being true philanthropists, decided to come to the aid of the needy masses by releasing an album that could almost be defined, well I know for many it's a bad word, but I’m going to say it anyway, because I mean this album definitely winks at pop music. of course it’s a very quirky pop and “alt“ or “art“ which sounds even cooler so you can tell girls or guys (or maybe both if you're lucky enough not to be sexually picky and limited like mua) that you listen to artistic pop: “you know, I listen to artistic pop? I’m really intelligent, deep, and sensitive“; and since in today's world culture and intellect are considered the fundamental yardstick, you'll always break hearts! No, don’t thank me, thank Pere Ubu! Because then they’re happy if you have fun, so actually you don't even have to thank them, as I've said, they are very generous and have lots and lots of love for you!

In short, listen to Pere Ubu, always and in every form, and you’ll be happy, your hair will grow back, cellulite will disappear, and you won’t have bad breath anymore (yes, face it; I know your friends and family courageously and kindly endure without saying anything, but you really should use more mouthwash).

Long live Pere Ubu, may they always be praised!
