Penetration are a British punk band formed in Durham in 1976, fronted by Pauline Murray. Their debut album Moving Targets was released in 1978. The band is known for the single "Don't Dictate". Original members noted in reviews include Pauline Murray, Robert Blamire, Neale Floyd, Fred Purser and Gary Stallman. The band split in 1979.

Pauline Murray later worked with The Invisible Girls and Robert Blamire participated in that project. The Moving Targets reissue reviewed is the 2006 Captain Oi! edition which adds five bonus tracks including "Don't Dictate".
