THE REVIEW

I am 17 years old, I come from Dream Theater, Jethro Tull, and Pink Floyd, passionate about the Gallaghers, here I am reviewing Paul Weller (strange rock n'è it?!?).

I am listening to "Uncle Paul's" album for the first time while writing on my Mac. My review won't be technical, but emotional! An album that drags you in, pulls you, makes you sing and tap your fingers to the beat... I deal with emotions! From the Rolling Stones to Oasis, passing by Elvis and Traffic! (Noel Gallagher and Steve Windwood have also collaborated with Paul)... this is "Stanley Road". It's 1995 and Weller, having long abandoned his experience as a butterfly collector in The Jam, writes these twelve Rock Pop (generic style) songs that are fun, emotional, English. I don't find a standout track in the album, an album that slides by, light, just as a good album should be...

I bought the CD intrigued by the photos of Paul with Oasis, and I wonder why he is not known in Italy... I was shocked by "Stanley Road" and ashamed for not having discovered it earlier, from now on it will be an interesting journey into exploring this artist!

"The Changingman" "Porcelain Gods" – 4:51 "I Walk on Gilded Splinters" "You Do Something to Me" "Woodcutter's Son" "Time Passes..." "Stanley Road" "Broken Stones" "Out of the Sinking" "Pink on White Walls" "Whirlpool's End" "Wings of Speed"

An album I recommend... TO ALL LOVERS OF ROCK in all its forms...
