THE REVIEW

In the grand and useless Sanremo cauldron, "the doll" Patty almost went unnoticed, who has given us this great album, heartfelt and straightforward as few can do today. And it is done by an artist who has many years behind her but still has so much to say.

Patty Pravo today seems like the best Vasco of the past times: grit, anger, emotions that transform into slogans... all from the gut, and even the off-key moments add artistic value to this work. The beginning is breathtaking: "La vita è qui", a piece initially intended for Sanremo, which the former Piper diva wisely chose not to present because it was completely foreign to that stage; a great rock piece where Pravo in the lyrics winks at Vasco: we are just us, we are just us, and we are alive now!!! There are also two genuine gems signed by Sangiorgi of Negramaro: "Unisono" and "Cielo" in full Negramaro style, which Pravo embodies beautifully. "Basti tu" is another gem to discover... "Schiaffi di carezze" is devilishly '80s; "Come fiele", "The Fool", "Maledetto amore", "Averti qui con me" are pieces emotionally rocking, well-arranged, and even better interpreted.

Even the Sanremo piece ("Il vento e le rose") should be remembered: to me, it recalls the Vasco of "Va bene va bene così"... beautiful atmospheres and great performance even when she was off-key on that stage which no longer suits her but to which Pravo is still attached out of tradition. It closes with "Fuoco calamita" with a beautiful sax finale.

For me, a beautiful album to listen to and make last over time....
