LA RECENSIONE

In 2004, after making Italy and beyond dance with "Television" & "Festival" (two albums with danceable and pop atmospheres), Paola & Chiara embarked on a classy project, even though the results were not achieved.

"Blu," released in 2004 before the official Greatest Hits, presents a significant change with the search for refined electronic pop songs, slow, ballads, soft, of class, I would say. If I had to compare this album with "Body Language" by Kylie Minogue, released in 2003, I would find some similarities since Minogue's record, released after "Light Years" & "Fever," also changed direction entirely, moving towards refined, R&B, and electronic ballads.

"@mare di più" opens the album and makes us dance a bit, but be careful, it’s just an illusion; "blu," the lead single, is fresh but anything but danceable. It is a kind of "Slow" by Kylie Minogue, with a few more words and less music. Songs like "senza confine," "disco dj," "facciamolo" search for more electronic and less danceable sounds, with some refined R&B atmospheres. "Diana" fortunately exists, a song dedicated to Lady Diana, it is the ballad of the album and is a masterpiece. "naturale" is the worst of the album, while "sexy" searches for the typical sounds of Minogue's "Body Language"; between electro-pop and R&B sounds, it seems like an excerpt from the Australian colleague's album. "angolo di paradiso," "come eravamo," and "aqua" close, with difficulty, this project with ambient atmospheres and more pop sounds.

Overall, the album is well-made, with a cover showing Paola & Chiara in their natural beauty. To think that in 2005 there was also a tour supporting this project, the "blu tour 2005." Surely, the critics were pleased with this album, the fans a bit less.

Che atmosfera,
che divertimento c'è stasera
non andare via.
Tutto bene,
con la musica noi stiamo insieme
che felicità.
Paradiso lo trovi qui.
L'universo ci gira intorno.
Parti adesso e raggiungimi.
Molla tutto e ciao!
Blu blu oceano blu
ritmo universale che ci fa ballare.
Blu blu I love you
tu sei tutto questo
io ti voglio adesso.
La natura
un'oasi di colori e fantasia
piena di energia.
E' una festa
è come una canzone nella testa
che non va più via.
Qui ogni cosa è possibile
muovi i fianchi e poi gira in tondo,
pensa che è più semplice
fa un sorriso dai...

Blu blu oceano blu
ritmo universale che ci fa ballare.
Blu blu I love you
tu sei tutto questo
io ti voglio adesso.
Blu blu oceano blu
ritmo universale che ci fa ballare.
Blu blu I love you
tu sei tutto questo io ti voglio adesso.
Blu blu oceano blu
ritmo universale che ci fa ballare.
Blu blu I love you
tu sei tutto questo io
ti voglio adesso.
Blu blu oceano blu
Blu blu i love you
Blu blu oceano blu
Blu blu i love you

I don’t understand why so many people can’t stand this album which is literally their best album.

In this wreck of a country called Italy, obviously this album flopped because it’s super innovative since Paola and Chiara were light years ahead.
