THE REVIEW

Let me preface this by saying this is my first review, so I'll be happy and grateful if you send me useful tips to improve my reviews.

An album by a band that certainly needs no introduction; just from the name "Pantera," which has been in every record store since 1983, it's understood that the sound that comes out of those instruments, which the band sets out to make, is anything but relaxing. Certainly, no one would have expected that a band that initially debuted with Glam would become an icon of Thrash.

This album, which was released in 1992, showcases good technical skills, characterized by very powerful and energetic riffs, yet at the same time, melodic; the drums dictate powerful but well-defined tempos, and with Phil Anselmo's voice, this album definitely becomes worthy of being bought by lovers of Good Metal. In this collection of 11 tracks, there are songs like "Walk" and "Regular People", perfect for MetalHeads who, at concerts and venues, want to engage in devastating mosh pits and show off their HeadBanging skills; nonetheless, other songs like "This Love" and "Hollow" manage to incorporate a melodic vein into this Thrash that distinguishes this American Quintet.

Today, most of the albums from this band, along with those from groups like "Testament," "Slayer," and "Destruction," are certainly part of more or less well-stocked collectors. I would certainly recommend this album to anyone who wants to have a Thrash overview from the early '90s, angry yet at the same time melodic and catchy to anyone interested in this musical genre.

Anselmo's voice, unique in the world, makes the tracks truly devastating.

After listening to 'Fucking Hostile,' you'll feel the urge to destroy everything around you!

“FUKIN’ HOSTILEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”; the apotheosis of the feral stadium rendered into music.

In the music there is you, with your sweetness in that claustrophobic arpeggio, which after a while explodes in violence, violence, and VIOLENCE...

"Pantera's was a unique and unrepeatable formula today... a warm metal, sharp riffs, a form of thrash different from the canonical style."

"'Vulgar Display Of Power' is one of the fundamental albums of the metal genre and is recommended to all human beings who love music."

By Teocose

The album influenced, indirectly or directly, the so-called nu-metal and the majority of heavy metal productions to come.

'Hollow' surpasses Metallica's legendary metal ballads in pathos and complexity, ending the album with great emotion.
