Good afternoon to all METALHEADS AND ROCKERS, today my review will be based on a record that very few know and that actually had very little success, and the record in question is Metal Magic by the amazing PANTERA.
This album, in my opinion, is one of my favorites by Pantera even if the recording is not the best, it is still a good product, and you can already tell that the great DARRELL was a legend, but he would prove this later with the masterpieces COWBOYS FROM HELL and VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER featuring the powerful Anselmo on vocals.
But let's move on to the analysis of the record:
The tracks reflect each other, they are all very catchy, and the record flows more than quickly. The tracks are all very nice and in line with the heavy currents of the '80s, more inspired by Hair Metal.
The tracks I highly recommend listening to are RIDE MY ROCKET, I'LL BE ALRIGHT, TELL ME IF YOU WANT IT, THE FASCINATING METAL MAGIC, NOTHIN' ON (BUT THE RADIO) AND WIDOWMAKER, these are surely the best tracks on the album without taking anything away from the others which are also deserving.
My analysis is very smooth because what matters are the facts, and everything can only be understood by listening to the record in question, so sitting there and analyzing the record in depth brings me nothing because it's great to talk about music and bands from all over the world, new or old, to talk about the meaning of the song, the lyrics, etc... but what really matters is the music, how it is expressed, played, and how it manages through the lyrics to reach people who have been listening to this type of music for decades, without obviously neglecting other genres.
So, in conclusion, listen to this record for those who don't know it, and also for those Pantera fans who are rightly obsessed with the Anselmo era, which I also really like, and go ahead and review a bit of old school classic heavy metal, and I swear you will say this music is not as bad as I thought.
STAY METAL!!! ......... STAY ROCK!!!..........

laid back in my limousine

09 Sad Lover (03:24)
Alright
Yeah
Whoa
if you want love
don't come to me
i'll be the last to give you sympathy
i've got my ways
under the covers
i'll be the last to be your back door lover
don't you cry now
not around me
baby i don't need that kinda company
sad lover
Queen of hearts misery
sad lover
you just ain't what i need
You got your ways
and i've got mine
i tell the truth
but you're out there lyin'
face it girl
white ain't black
this time it's over
don't come back
*?something?* as the years go by
don't be a ghost when you finally die.
Sad lover
Queen of hearts misery
Sad lover
you just ain't what i need
*guitar solo*
sad lover
queen of hearts misery
sad lover
you just ain't what i need
sad lover
queen of hearts misery
sad lover
you just ain't what i need

If one day by chance you happen to stumble upon a good (and sly) piece of hard rock with a mixed flavor... you might discover it was indeed them playing it.
Nothing else to add about this album with the horrendous cover that runs out quickly, except that I would recommend it only to lovers of the most predictable hard rock or Pantera fans interested in their roots.
