THE REVIEW

Another Italian prog work (also hard to find) dated 1971 based on great guitar and keyboard effects. It has an obvious classical tone based on the search for melody and a noteworthy lyrical experimentation.

40 minutes of prog experimentation divided into 6 songs (concept album): "La Paura", "Un Re Senza Reame", "Un Uomo", "Scacco Al Re Lot", "Il Vento, La Luna E Pulcini Blu" and "Waiting". The first time I listened to it, I immediately noticed a brilliant drum, a heavy guitar, and above all, great rhythm changes that at times seem reminiscent of the Canterbury scene (especially the experimental EGG).

The lyrics are influenced by a medieval spirit and a sumptuous Hammond organ has a certain familiarity with Eloy. Great album, it's a shame that this is also a unique work by the band.

"Uno" is another fine example of Italian progressive and "Il Vento, La Luna E Pulcini Blu" is its signature song. A precious piece for demanding ears!
