Here are the Pain Of Salvation in Italy again for the second leg of their "Six worlds tour 2005".

This time the venue is more appropriate, as we find ourselves in a building in the middle of absolute nowhere, where the only risk is to annoy the drivers passing on the highway towards Milan with the noise, rather than at the Rolling Stone, surrounded everywhere by various residences.

The usual Dark Suns open, and for a second time (in five months) I realize that this band is truly boring.

But here come my favorites on stage at eleven: With which song will they start? With the usual (and beautiful) Used, in which from the onset the band proves to be in good form, engaging in significant numbers, especially by Daniel Gildenlow and his brother, whom I already knew as an excellent bassist, but this time I discovered to be an equally good backing vocalist, with a very high-pitched voice at times despite his considerable size.
The classics are present, but I'm a bit disappointed to find that the setlist differs very little from the one presented a few months earlier thirty kilometers away. Indeed, we have Foreword, Diffidentia, the inevitable Inside-Inside Out duo, Dea Pecuniae, and various others, with the addition (thanks to the longer playing time, two hours and a quarter) of gems such as one of the "Brickworks" from 12:5 (the one with This Heart Of Mine, for clarity) and Nightmist.
All interspersed with amusing skits, a special participation by a buxom girl in the role of "Miss Mediocrity" (during Dea Pecuniae), who delighted everyone with her asset (or rather, HER assets), and a curious version of Ashes in German (!), with the participation of some members of the Dark Suns (a German band, indeed).
The finale is a joy with the fantastic People Passing By, played with incomprehensible passion and skill, demonstrating how the audience (250-300 people) is definitely less than the band deserves. Fantastic.

And what a satisfaction on the return trip to still want to listen to their records...
