Help, I was awakened with sips of grappa, but why is it said that the partisans were leftist? Does opposing a regime and driving invaders from one's land automatically make you leftist? Were the priests who sheltered the partisans leftist? If you're against fascism, are you leftist? I am leftist, but I don't understand why we have monopolized the partisans; I don't believe that freedom has a political affiliation. If we speak of freedom, there must be a reason for it.
