To G, pioneer, founder, and historic voice of the community, first and foremost credit must be given for the courage to speak out. At a time when many prefer silence or ambiguity, G has chosen to take a stand on one of the most divisive issues of our time: the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Those who share his analysis believe that the conflict cannot be understood without taking into account the geopolitical context prior to 2022, the tensions built up over the years, the role of the great powers, and the reciprocal perceptions of security. From this perspective, G would not have sought to justify the war, but rather to provide a broader and less immediate reading of the events.
At the same time, the fundamental facts remain the subject of broad international consensus: on February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a sovereign state and member of the United Nations. The UN General Assembly approved by a large majority resolutions defining Russia's action as a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and calling for the withdrawal of its troops.
The rebuttal of the theses most favorable to Moscow begins right here: according to the majority of UN member states, no strategic or political concern justifies the use of force to alter the borders of a sovereign state. Subsequent resolutions have also condemned attempts to annex occupied Ukrainian territories.
But perhaps the point is not to determine who should have the last word. The point is that a living community exists precisely because it hosts difficult discussions. G decided to put himself on the line, taking responsibility for his opinions. It is a choice that can be shared or contested, but hardly ignored.
For this reason, the invitation is simple: stay, read, discuss, delve deeper. Compare the arguments, check the sources, challenge what you think is wrong. The freedom of a community is also measured by its ability to support dissent without suppressing it.
And what about those who disagree? They are, of course, free to leave. But before shutting the door, it might be worth stopping to fully understand the reasons of others.
Because, as the partisan and President of the Republic Sandro Pertini recalled, «la libertà è partecipazione» has become for many the symbol of an essential principle: a community lives when people have the courage to be present, to speak out, and to take responsibility for their own ideas. And this, for better or worse, is what G has chosen to do. tempo: internazionale: qui: semplice: essenziale:
