Happy birthday to Ronald "Christopher" Walken, who turns eighty-three today. He once said, “No preparation is necessary for me to play the villain, I can handle that myself.” With a career spanning over fifty years, he has appeared in more than 140 films, having started acting as a child in various television series in the 1950s. Who doesn’t remember his performance, which earned him an Oscar as Best Supporting Actor in Michael Cimino’s 1978 film “The Deer Hunter”? Walken is also an excellent dancer, which is why dance is often a part of his roles. In an interview, he revealed: "It was common for people—and I mean the working class—to send their children to dance school. You would learn classical dance, tap, acrobatics, and usually also how to sing a song." His most famous number as a dancer is surely the one in this music video by Fatboy Slim.
