#PoetryTakeMeAway
At this point stop,
says the shadow.
I have accompanied you in war and in peace and even
in between,
I have been for you both exultation and tedium,
I have breathed into you virtues you do not possess,
vices you did not have.
If now I detach myself
from you, you will have no sorrow, you will be light
more than the leaves, mobile like the wind.
I have to raise the mask, I am your thought,
I am your in-necessity, your useless bark.
At this point stop, tear yourself from my breath
and walk in the sky like a rocket.
There are still some lights on the horizon
and those who see it are not mad, they are just
a man and you intended not to be one
for the love of a shadow. I have deceived you but now I say to you at this point stop.
Your worst and your best do not belong to you
and for what you will have, you can do without a shadow. At this point
look with your eyes and even without eyes.
At this point stop,
says the shadow.
I have accompanied you in war and in peace and even
in between,

I have breathed into you virtues you do not possess,
vices you did not have.
