Alpe Paione, at an altitude of 1780 m, this morning at 11 a.m. I arrived without practically stepping on snow, except for a few icy areas in the shade. It’s unsettling to see the Passo dei Paioni above the huts, and here we are over 2300 m, with very little snow. The situation here is increasingly dramatic, and an alarming water shortage is already being predicted for the summer...
