The news is this: in reviews, the first paragraph is displayed in various review lists (so also on the homepage).
This only if it is shorter than a hundred words (if it’s longer, it's a ramble, not a paragraph).
So remember this and if you like, follow the modest advice of using the first paragraph as a sort of summary of what you are about to say.
This as long as you are about to say something.
